System restore
Hello all. Its good to be here.
I have a problem that I am hoping isnt too hard for you all to solve for me.
I have just networked my sons XBOX 360 from my pc so that he can watch all the movies I have in my 'MY VIDEOS' folder. There was no problem with thios until I tried to link the MY VIDEOS folder in my documents to my external 1tb hard drive. I right clicked on desktop thern ....properties....desktop....customize desktop......made a new MY DOCUMENTS icon on my desktop and then changed the target location to the new 1tb hard drive....?
I think this actually worked but I then decided to delete all that and start again in order to name things correctly......and boom.....I now have lost the original My Pictures My Music icons from the start menu....they are now also missing from MY DOCUMENTS folder....I have found a foldewr containing the contents of the original My Videos folder but its not the original folder icon with the little film reel pic and everything looks different.
My xbox now says No videos found when i try and stream the movies.....
I have performed a system restore point thing but nothing has changed.
How can I get my pc back the way it was before I messed about with it....where have those original icons gone.
I get so annoyed with my pc not being right that I normally just do a complete new install of xp home and litterally start from scratch....this time I thought I would see if I can avoid this extreme course of action with a maybe a little help from you all.
I didnt really explain all this very well so I am happy to answer any questions that arise ok
Thank you very much
Any advice will be very much appreciated
Daniel
