Solved: error message in oe
I get an error message when I go to insert a picture and select browse in oe for the picture. The message pops up which says, an error has occured in this dialog. error 7. Object doesn't support the property or method. I'm useing oe 6 windows xp sp3. And I don't know what I have downloaded or installed that would cause this to happen. tried system restore. Did not work. Don't know what else to try. I could get ie6 and reinstall. Where can I get a full copy.

Referencing URL;

To reinstall Outlook Express 6:
NOTE: You must be logged on as Administrator or as a member of the Administrators group in order to perform this procedure.
  1. Click Start , click Run , and then type the following command:
%systemroot%\inf
NOTE : There are no spaces at all in the preceding command line.
  1. Click OK to open the INF folder.
  2. Locate the file MSOE50.inf .
Right-click the file, and then click Install . This will reinstall the files that Outlook Express needs to proceed normally.
It will ask you to put your Windows XP cd in the drive

thanks Zurh. Are you talking OEM or recover cd? Because all I have is the recover cd that came with my computer.

Solved the problem. Installed windows live mail. I can now install pictures in the email body and also write text about each one. Also does a lot more. I would highly recommend this program. A lot better than oe.
