What is consuming my disk??
I am down to 1% free space and I cant figure out what is eating up my disk space. I printed the report from the disk defragmenter and it seems there are 3 temporary files taking up space but I have no idea what program is creating them and I can't find them to delete. They also seem to have many fragments. The files are:

4GB 28,615 fragments ...\local settings\temp\acr15A8.tmp
33GB 697 fragments ...\local settings\temp\acr3c.tmp
44GB 2,175 fragments ...\local settings\temp\acr1e00.tmp

Help!!

They seem to be Adobe Acrobat Reader temp files.

They are temp files located in C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp.

It's a hidden folder. Simply open your Folder Options > View > put a check mark on "Show hidden files and folders".

Delete the content of the folder.

Click Start | Run, type %temp%, press Enter
(If you don't have Run on the Start Menu, press WinKey+R)

That will open your temp folder for you even if hidden.

Doesn't seem so bad some 20 odd years later...

Thank you. I don't know why Adobe went crazy but they are gone now and I have a huge amount of space back.

This is very nice. I'll put it in my tool box for future use. Thank you

Ed:

You should empty out the contents of these 2 temp folders on a regular basis:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp

C:\Documents And Settings\(Username)\Local Settings\Temp

And don't forget to empty the Recycle Bin afterwards.
