Conflict between my xp & itunes
Hello all,

My Windows XP and iTunes seem to conflict with each other. My purchased songs stick or studder sometimes when I play them and visit websites at the same time.

Is there anything I can do with my XP to make this stop? I am also currently posing this question to iTunes/Apple as well.

First of all please provide your system secifications (CPU, amount of ram etc) as this will aid anyone trying to help you.

Was this "conflict" always the case or did it just start recently?

I am using an HP Pavillion Desktop 600 series, model number a656x, with 512mb of RAM. My iTunes is the latest version I believe.

Yes, this has been occuring for as long as I can remember. What's weird is that it doesn't happen every time. Some days it doesn't happen at all, and some days only partially. Other times it occurs during my ENTIRE time online.
Occasionally I can fix it by clearing my footprints and/or disabling certain automatic start up programs, or by defragging and/or cleaning my disc. Sometimes that doesn't help at all.
I am stumped.

The sticking and studdering of my music was real bad today. It seems like it happens when the graphics try to load on any website I go to....even the graphics on an E-mail make my songs stick.

Does this happen only with itunes? If you use windows media player instead does the studdering and sticking still occur?
