Drag not responding on XP Desktop
I try to drag a shortcut icon on desktop to a folder on desktop, the shortcut icon freezes over the folder icon. Task Manager application tab says drag not responding. Then all of Windows freezes and I have to power down and restart. Drag works OK in MS Explorer window. Have scanned with MBAM, SuperAntiSpyware, Avast, Spybot S&D. Repeated Windows power downs resulted in BSOD message unmountable_boot_volume, which I was able to correct with recovery console. But the drag on desktop problem remained.
