My son lives in another state so how can I take control of his computer when I need to fix it? Thanks.

Get him to install the RealVNC or UltraVNC server on his computer, install the client on your computer and then get him to find his external IP address (http://www.ip-adress.com/ip_tracer/) then when you want to control his computer simply run the VNC client and type that in. As long as he has the server running on his machine, it should be okay.

Lancel1

You gave me a lot to check out. I'm sure one of them will work. Thanks again.

Lancel1. I check out Microsoft Remote Assistance and Vista Remote Desktop Connection and they both worked fine so long as you sign up for Windows Live.

But how do I change the way people see me on my windows messenger. When I go to the options and try to change the name in the my.net service display name. It’s all grayed out. I’m trying to change it because some how I put my e-mail address in it. Thanks again.
