Hi, I am running a Dell XPS M140 with Windows XP. Lately, I have been encountering many problems with my computer. I don't know if the problems are connected or not, so I'm just going to list them all here:
When I start my computer, the following 4 messages appear in succession:
"RUNDLL"
Error loading tftp.msc
The specified module could not be found
"Rundll32.exe - Bad Image"
The application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\minokeda.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette.
"RUNDLL"
Error loading minokeda.dll
%1 is not a valid Win32 application.
"Generic Host Process for Win32 Services"
Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
The first 3 messages have been appearing for a while, but nothing appeared to be wrong with my computer, so I ignored them (probably a bad idea!). The 4th one just began appearing a few days ago. I have also tried searching for the "minokeda" dll in the specified area, however I could not locate it.
The following problems have been occuring for the past few days, and have intensified since yesterday. These problems are what got me concerned about the messages on start-up. Maybe they are connected...?:
-PDF files won't open
-Internet won't close when I click the exit button
-Computer won't restart/shut down
-Internet freezes, won't close, and I have to turn off my computer
-Occasionally, the task manager won't open
I've been searching for solutions to all the above problems and messages for the past few hours, and have found no solutions to help me. I have attempted to perform a System Restore, but once I open the System Restore the dialogue box freezes. The rest of my computer continues to work, and I can perform other tasks, but the System Restore box remains frozen. I don't know if this is connected to any of the other problems... I also performed a virus scan last night, and Symantic Endpoint scanned my computer for 3 hours and only found and deleted one virus. This did not help anything.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
