memory
i recently downloaded pro tools on my computer...which took
for ever by the way.

everything was fine until i went to install it on my
and it told me i need 768 megabytes of ram
and my computer only had 390724 kb.

what can i do to fix this? i really want to use this
program ...id rather the cheapest way if possible but
if not i can buy whatever.

It appears that your computer has 384 MB of RAM and is a very old one.

Can you advise what the brand name, model name, and model number of it is? This information will be embossed on the case or on a sticker.

i believe the model number is XRC6B 900 02937
the model is emachines T5048
and the brand name is emachines
its a windows xp 2005 edition.

Here is the support and downloads site for the EMachines T5048.

According to the specifications section, it comes with 512 MB of RAM, but it supports up to 2048 MB(2 GB) of RAM, and it uses DDR PC3200 modules.

Are we talking about the same computer here?
