Wireless connection not starting on bootup
I've got Windows XP Professional (SP3) installed on my 2nd laptop and for some weird reason, whenever I turn the laptop on the Wireless Connection doesn't appear (icon-wise down in the system tray) and also in the "Network Connections" section there is nothing listed there, but when I press "FN" + "F11" a sound plays (like when you plug a USB device in) and then it appears in the "Network Connections" area and also down in the system tray.

I can live with doing that, but as I'm wanting to sell the laptop, I don't really want the buyer having to keep doing it as it can get a tad bit frustrating especially if you're running updates and have to keep rebooting and having to do that.

Anyone got any ideas how I can have it so it's loaded up perfectly when I do turn the laptop on?

I was quite surprised when I worked on a laptop recently which had both a physical switch and a Function Key and either would enable the WLAN. Do you have a physical switch tucked away somewhere on the front or side of the laptop - more often than not on the front where you can easily turn it off by accident?
