Solved: hs err pid
This is the error file that is somehow posted on my desktop after I spend time online (IE). Each time a text file appears on my desktop with the hs_err_pid error plus a 4 digit number after it. What causes this? How do I correct? Thanks.

This seems to be a very old java script issue, do you have SP3 installed?
If not what SP level is it?

Start>right click on My Computer and select properties to see what SP it is.

Go to add remove programs list and uninstall All versions of Java you find in there, then go to the link below and download and install the latest version of java. Let me know if any of them will not uninstall.

http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

Choose "Windows 7/XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008 Offline" download it to a folder of choice then execute the file to install java.
