Blue Screen of Death WILL NOT go away
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2
Computer: Dell Dimension E310
Problem: Last night, my computer was being real slow so I did a hard shutdown and after I let it sit for a minute, I turned it back on to see the BSoD with this STOP code: 0x0000007B (0xF7A24524, 0xc0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000). When I restarted, it went straight to what I'm guessing is the F8 menu, where it says start in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Config, and Start Windows Normally. I tried all 5 of those options and all of them bring me back to the BSoD, I'm out of options here and I'm broke so I can't call anyone out and really really don't want to format my hard drive. Thanks for any help.

Also forgot to say that I cannot press F2 or F12 for Setup and Boot Menu, for some reason it doesnt let me, so I'm thinking its some kind of virus thats preventing me from getting there.

Was it just taht code and no other message? Sometimes that message is accompanied by something that implies a hard disk is unmountable or not recognised. Restart but this time with the side off the casing and listen for any sounds coming from that disk. Being careful what you touch in there - fans are more dangerous than electricity - feel the disk for vibration to find out if it's actually spinning.

This is a drive issue; if you have an XP disk and can load the Recovery Console, you can try running chdksk

chkdsk /r

The recovery console should not Blue Screen on you unless there is a hardware problem

But your best bet is a clean install.

I could tell you how to recover some data using a boot disk, but you will only risk reinfection since it might be infected as well.

As a prerequisite to running the recovery console you may want to crack open the computer and check all fans and give it a good clean out with compressed air. Check the fan on the PSU as well for porper operation and cleaning.
