Solved: Windows XP screen size problem.
Hi,
I built a desktop few years ago running Windows XP and Fedora 9. I recently bought a 22inch widescreen monitor for my laptop I also use the monitor for the desktop. On the desktop when I use Windows XP, I don’t get full screen but in fedora I get the full screen. I did install the latest driver for the built-in graphics. The motherboard is MSI-KM4M. No driver came with the monitor and I also searched for a driver and there is non.

Sorry if I post this in the wrong place.

Thanks.

Have you tried making adjustments in Display properties in XP?

Yep, I did. Tried changing the resolutions and still same.
This is what the screen look like in XP. I also tried adjusting settings on the monitor.

Model of monitor? Is the native resolution 1680 x 1050, does this setting show in display properties?

Strange it works in fedora and not XP, it must be the graphics driver.

I thought it was the driver too but last night I found the solution. I was going through the settings on the monitor again and found a option called aspect ratio, from there I can change the screen size from native to full.
