Solved: Can't reboot as keyboard not functioning even to access safe mode
Have been trying to fix my dad's computer which has been having a series of Blue screen problems realated to BAD_POOL_CALLER.

Followed advice on Microsoft site and invoked Driver Verifier Manager and used Standard settings.

But system won't reboot at all. I can get into BIOS area but once it continues past that the wireless keyboard is disabled and therefore I can't select Safe Mode or Last working config mode. It continues into Windows XP and then crashes and reboots again.

Ideally I need to be able to make the wireless keyboard work so I can get into Safe Mode, or reset/uninvoke the Driver Verifier somehow at the BIOS stage.

Alternatively is a wired keyboard likely to work where wireless doesn't?

The system is running Windows XP Home edition and has been working fine apart from these annoying blue screen problems from time to time which I understand are most likely caused by a faulty or incompatible driver.

Help please!!!!!!!

Yes, it would be the first thing I would try at this point.

Thanks for your help, the wired keyboard did work and I was able to reset the Driver Verifier Manager and solve the problem after that. I have now rebuilt the system having gone back to the original safe factory settings and it seems to be working fine now.

Kind Regards
