Hello!
I am currently writing in safemode. My operating system is Windows XP x64 with service pack 2.
I was trying out a software called Radmin, which is basically some kind of remote PC access application, and something must have backfired. Stupid as I am, I setup the very PC I was sitting on as the target of remote access, just to try it out. Little did I know this would completely (hopefully not) wreck my computer. I am sure I could bring this up on the Radmin boards, but at the moment there were no users online over there but myself, hence I went over here.
Right after I launched the remote access I got the blue screen and seconds later the PC rebooted by itself. When I got to the login screen the resolution was set to minimum, 640x480. At this point I could still log into Windows but I was unable to change the resolution back up in the properties panel, 640x480 was the only option available. Also the color quality was ridiculously low, something like 4 colors as opposed to the 32 bit I'm normally working with. I was unable to change this as well.
I tried rebooting it again from the start menu, but this time I got a black screen right when you get to choose user login. Apparently everything was still working in the background, because I could write my password and I heard the logon sound in my speakers. I just couldn't see squad.
Anyone got some tips?
