help - repair install doesnt work
Hi - have crashed my xp and have tried the repair install options as in the sticky at the top of the forum but to no avail. I have backup of most important stuff bar one file...which as you can guess... is the one i really NEED!! any ideas the best way to access the data from the HD. Can i attach the tower somehow to another one and access it through that one? Something tells me it can be done but i have no idea how. Or should i just give up and do a fresh install??

Go here and download ERD from my shared site. Burn the ISO and boot from it. It's Windows XP that lives on the CD. With it you can recover your data and more.
