I recently reinstalled windows xp and afterward my scrolling started to go slower. It's kind of like a ripple, like it's having a hard time loading something. How do I get it back to normal?

Did you reinstall the graphics card driver?

If you're not sure, then the chances are good that you didn't.

Go to device manager from the hardware tab in your screenshot above and see if the video driver looks ok - stuttery scrolling for example in Internet Explorer or Firefox normally indicates only the default vga driver has been installed, and that your XP CD didn't recognise your graphics card to install the right driver.

Download it from the card manufacturers website. (ati/nvidia, etc).

Ok I went to the nvidia website and looked for the drivers, but I don't see one for my model.

It looks like I still have a driver from feb of 2006.

This is the generic VGA video driver. You need to install a driver for your NVIDIA video card.

Ok. I understand that. My graphics card is a GeForce 8000 series and I don't see an option for that driver. The only thing close to that is a GeForce 8 series or a GeForce 8m series (notebooks). Is that the same thing?
