Solved: Windows XP Pro - Administrator Log in NOT lost PW
Something happened and now I have to respond to an Administrator request for a password. There is no password and I can get into the system with a simple "Enter". However, this is inconvenient and I would like to turn the computer on and go away and come back find it ready for use. Now I have to stay with it and give this "Enter" before I can go away and let it do its start up thing.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. (This is not a lost password problem).

Setup Autologon

Start | Run, type control userpasswords2, press Enter
Uncheck the Box Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.
(If already unchecked, check it, click Apply, then uncheck it)
Click OK
You'll be prompted to choose an account and enter a password that the system will use to Automatically log on. If you have no password, leave both password boxes blank.

If you want it to stop at the Welcome screen, just leave the box checked for Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer.

Outcaste - Thank You
Outcaste,

This is just what I needed. The system is operating just as it used to. Thanks again.
