I tried to '
Perform a clean install of Windows XP' using the WINNT32.exe application because I havent got the Intalation CD. It accepted the Product Key fine and I got to the blue screen where you can delete or create partitions etc.
What happened in Between (you can skip this)
I needed to delete the existing partition and create a new one in its place to re-instal windows XP. But when I tried to delete the existing partition it wouldnt let me because im running the instalation off the drive that im trying to delete.
This site said it would work:
http://guides.metronorthchamber.com/...-a1003897.html
So I pressed f3 to exit and reboot/restart. Then a screen appeared where i choose between (not exact words):
'Start Windows XP Home Edition'
or
'Start Windows Instalation'
But it wouldnt let me choose 'Start Windows XP Home Edition', it was stuck on 'Start Windows Instalation' and my keyboards fine.
It was just a loop (Reboot>Instalatoin blue screen's thing>reboot etc.), I couldnt do anything else.
Where Im at now
So I chose the 'Repair Windows Xp' (not exact words) thinking it may let me go back to a 'normal startup'.
Anyway, that completed but now when i reboot, it starts to load windows XP like it used to (just Normaly) but when it gets past the page with the windows Logo and loading bar, a light blue screen appears saying 'Setup is being restarted' at the top and the the screen goes black. The mouse pointers still there and it moves.
