This is getting frustrating (Complicated problem)
This is...a difficult problem, and I've been dealing with it for a while.
I can't quite remember when it started, but its certainly been a few months or so.
I started getting problems with my computer, it struggled to boot up.
Had difficulty finding the harddrives, or valid copies of windows, and other inane problems that weren't fully explained.
I generally managed to get past this by restarting the computer and fiddling around inside, making sure the connections were fine with the mobo and everything that I could see might be important.
Eventually the computer just went kaput, and refused to restart. So I, having two harddrives (Both with a copy of Windows installed, incase of emergencies such as this), decided to swap my main harddrive to secondary. And this worked fine for a while.
However, a few weeks or so later, I started experiencing the same problems, and eventually this harddrive failed as well. So I gave in, and reformated.
That went absolutely fine, and worked perfectly until I, at the end of the 30 day period (Me being too lazy to register my copy immedietly), actually registered my copy of windows.
Then it all went to pieces.
Along with some new problems.
Not only were the harddrives failing, but now the sound had started seriously stuttering, the computer ran slowly, and even the internet was slowed down (though I'm guessing this is due to something else).
All these problems hadn't happened before I registered, and now I'm really starting to get annoyed.
Because this damn situation has been repeating ad infinitum for ages.
I really don't want to have to fork out any money for new hardware.
So I've come to you guys...
Can any of you help me, I would greatly appreciate it!
Cheers!

You don't have to register Windows - it's a personal choice. The thirty days is the period allowed for activation of the product to demonstrate that you have a legitimate copy and the system will shut down at the end of that time, due warning having been given in advance. I think the only way out of your problem is to buy a legitimate copy of XP and install that. If you're connected to the Internet through a LAN, Windows will automatically activate over teh Net as part of the installation process.

Ahh, damn, I mean activation not registration.
Well, you know how it is, you get stressed, and you forget details
*sigh*.
Oh, and the copy is perfectly legitimate...if a little old.

I don't understand how it can misbehave at a time when I thought it would have shut down completely. Maybe Microsoft is pulling your strings to annoy you. I still think it needs reinstalling and activating within the first three days.
