Cool reinstalling Windows XP
Hey, i Was wondering if it is possible to reinstall windows xp without touching ANY of ubuntu's files. I have ubuntu 9.04 jaunty, and i want to reinstall windows without touching any of the files in ubuntu. btw, i installed ubuntu using the wubi installer. Also, i have installed games such as spore, ect. those games that cannot be reinstalled. how can i keep those games? do i just copy the whole game folder from C:/Programs Files ? thanks for your help!

You can install Windows XP on a partition on the HDD if you want. But if you're talking about replacing Ubuntu...I'm not entirely sure there. =\

ok, i want to delete almost everything in windows, except for what im backing up, but will deleting the files on my hard drive like 'I386' and 'ubuntu' mess up ubuntu? also, i read that using the xp cd, u can choose what files u want to keep, should i use that to keep those files?

hi,
do you have the setup files of the games ?
if you want to re-install windows it will be ok but your ubuntu should be in a different partition of your hdd.
after you re-install windows you need to install the grub booth loader again.

k... the thing is, I installed ubuntu using wubi, not knowing that it installed it in the same partition as windows.
