Is it a SATA hard drive? Have you tried cleaning that disk or the player? And I mean really clean it with a good laser cleaner? If you have - it may be that early on in the loading process where it says something like "click here to load SATA drivers" you would have to do that as your laptop may not have them - (and you would get this error.) Hopefully you have them on a floppy disk that came with the laptop. Then you can point windows to them. I'm sure there is a place you can download them, and really you should wait for a senior member to give you the best advice, I've been thru this - but I'm not as far up the road as most of the tech guys are here. There is some superior advice and I'm sure someone will be able to help you more.
