Go back to the computer.
Go to Control Panel. Go to network connections and tell me exactly what is showing and what it says under each one.

I have PM`d you to ask if you were back I have also been out.
The Local Area Connection, Network cable unplugged is the likely cause of not being able to get on the internet. Try unplugging from the router and back in and the same on the computer.
The computer ethernet socket has a small image of three computers linked together, that is where the cable goes.

Is it a current PAID edition of McAfee or is it a free edition. Open McAfee and have a look what it says.
Now you have an internet link (we will work on the wireless later) See if the McAfee will update.
If it will not, for instance it tells you it is an expired trial edition or similar.
Leave it., do not do anything else.
Run this and see if it tells you anything. DO NOT post the results on this forum. It contains many details of your computer.

It is an expired version of McAfee. The score i got from the link that you sent me was a 1.88 out of 10.
What details do you need.

Sorry not quite sure what you mean.
Start, Control Panel. Add/Remove programs.
Signing off see you tomorrow sometime or perhaps someone else will pick it up if you are staying on.

Try the following fix: Remove Add or Remove Restrictions

Save the reg file to your desktop. Double-click on it to merge it to your registry.

Reboot the computer.
