Last night I downloaded and ran the memtes program, it took a long time to run, over 2 hours I think. At the end of the test it said there were no errors. I did use the Power Iso program. After I ran the test, Windows did not start.
Thank You

The computer has 4 sticks of memory, I removed them 1 at a time and started the computer. When Windows did not start, I replaced the stick that I took out and took out another stick and started the computer again. Windows still won't start.

Thank You

Do the errors that I got when I tried to re-install windows xp by the cd give me a direction as to where the problem might be? I don't know what to try next.
Thank You

Help, I bought a new hard drive, I just took out the hard drive that was installed and put in the new one, (SATA hard drive). I reinstalled Windows, and I got a blue screen that says: "A PROBLEM HAS BEEN DETECTED AND WINDOWS HAS BEEN SHUT DOWN TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER"
So far I have removed and checked the graphic cards (2 of them), I have taken out and checked the 4 sticks of ram, I ran the ISO memtest, and I have reinstalled the operating system twice. On the blue screen the technical information is: STOP: 0X0000007B What else can I do?

I installed the new hard drive I bought ( an SATA drive, 2 terabytes), and I took out the hard drive that was in the computer, (320 gb). I formated the new hard drive by using the driver disk I got with the computer, and I re installed the os. First it said that NTLDR is missing, then it said NO BOOTABLE DEVICE IS FOUND, INSERT BOOT DISK. Then the blue screen came up saying windows is shut down to protect your computer ..... I tried going to the command console and typing BOOTCONFIG /REPAIR, and it said file cannot be repaired (I'm not sure if that was the wording). I repeated this several times with every system disk I have.
When I tried it with an OPERATING SYSTEM DISC for windows xp media center edition 2005, it loaded and started, but it said the hard drive was only 70 gb, it said it was an NTFS file system, (I think it was NTFS) there was only one drive listed, (C drive), and all of the other specs were completely wrong, and there was no sound. I formated the disk again, and tried to repeat loading one of the other os disks I had again, and I got the missing NTLDR, AND NO BOOTABLE DEVICE, and the blue screen again. Thank you in advance for any help you can give.
