Boot from the Windows XP CD and select the first "R" option to access the Recovery Console. Select the OS and input the Admin password. If there isn't one just hit enter. At the prompt, type:

EXPAND X:\i386\userinit.ex_ C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe

"X" being the CD\ROM letter so change accordingly. Hit Enter. Exit out and try to access Windows.

so i hit F8 and chose disable automatic reboot on system failure and i got a message that reads STOP: c0000221 {Bad Image Checksum}
the image rpcrt4.dll is possibly corrupt. the header checksum does not match the computed checksum. how do i get around this? ( fix the corrupted DLL)
