search enhancement pack
am running XP home. every time i start pc i get an onscreen message box 'search enhancement pack' folder showing on screen;clicking it open shows something called 'Choice Guard' .

can anyone tell me what this is and which programme it is part of? i have tried searching it but no reference can be found;it is not in the 'startup' programmes, nor in any subfolders that i can find, nor can i find it in any 'hijack this' log file.
am curious as to how to get rid of it,also what it is actually part of/linked to so that i can attend to it.
any help/comments appreciated

problem solved: search enhancement pack
thx Megabite,appreciated speedy reply.
didn't realise it was part of the Microsoft 'live messenger' programme(had just recently installed 'messenger' too).
followed the link, used Revo Uninstaller and has cleared it;was an irritation for sure.
thanks again.

The mistake that many people make when using the Windows Live Installer to install Windows Live Messenger is selecting and installing all the extra unneeded crap in the list. Most of it doesn't get used and some of it is problematic.
