Solved: Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options
I have been having problems connecting to my modem and this morning I entered Control Panel - Phone and Modem Options and have error report saying "unable to open - may affect your telephoney". How can I reinstall Phone and Modem Options? Running Win XP Home Edition with service pack 3

Go to Start > RUN
Type in services.msc
Click OK
Scroll down to Telephony
Highlight Telephony to determine whether it's started. If it's not started, start it. You can right click the item and select Properties to view more details.
