error 1053 + Print spooler I have a samsung n140 netbook running windows xp home. I have tried to add a Brother HL 2140 printer. I get a message stating rpc is unavailable because the spooler is not ready.. When I try and start that i then get a message saying the print spooler is unable to connect to the server. I then get an error 1053 message SAYING "UNABLE TO START PRINT SPOOLER SERVICE ON LOCAL COMPUTER". I am also getting a spoolsv error message saying it needs to close down. I have been in to services.msc and attempted to put the relevant services on start and automatic but still no joy.I am going round in circles trying to fix this so I can add a printer. Any easy step by step guide would be enormously gratefully received. Thanks |
