Error Message: The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be...
I am getting the following error message both at random times and when I try to watch videos usually: The procedure entry point_except_handler4_common could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll. After it happened I also had a message that said an unkown plugin was not responding, and then the browser(Google Chrome) had a message saying Shockwave Flash had crashed.

What causes this and how may I fix it?

Download a new version of msvcrt.dll from here:

Extract it to a different folder, then copy it to C:\Windows\System32.

Won't let me move the file because there is another file with the same name (the original one). Should I delete the old one or will that cause problems?

I would rename the existing file as msvcert.old, then copy the new file across.

Ok thanks. Do I need to reboot the computer before the change will take effect? I just got the error again after moving the file.

Try registering the file as follows from the command list:

regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\msvcrt.dll

When I clicked on regsvr32 it said "No DLL name specified." Where do I specify a DLL name?

I checked a different thread on exactly how to do it. I right clicked the file and chose to open it with regsvr32. Then I got an error message stating: "[The file] was loaded, but the DllRegisterServer entry point was not found. This file can not be registered.

This means that this particular file will work without having to register it with regsvr32.

Try this alternative solution:
