Blue screens of death every start up
Recently I've been getting help from Lavasoft Support about various computer issues. I've recently been hacked and thought the hackers were locked out (I now run AVG 8.4, Ad-Aware, HijackThis, etc). However, now, after having used ComboFix to attempt to clean out problems (as recommended by a person on that forum), I'm finding my computer has blue screen issues a lot (those screens covering the whole screen saying Windows has encountered an error, etc).

A recent error message I got on a blue screen was:
STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x806493DC, 0xF78E2090, 0xF78E1D8c)

Any idea what's going on or how I can solve this? I should also state (in case it's relevant) that sometimes I've had the screen freeze upon start up (upon which I restarted the computer, usually causing a blue screen). Also, sometimes while playing Lord of the Rings Online, I get a sound stutter which causes my screen to freeze, and then I restart the computer (this game-related freeze has happened twice so far).

Any help would be appreciated. Also, please do not recommend I just reboot the computer, I've had lots of people saying that, but I'd rather solve these without rebooting, so I can see what the source of the problem is and whether it was hacker-related.

Thanks.

COMP SPECS:
Windows XP Professional
Intel (R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
3.00 GHz, 3.50 GB RAM

Hi while posting on more than one forum - seems to make sense..
It will become confusing, as we have no idea what has been suggested before.

If someone at Lavasoft Support was helping you and had you use Combo Fix which should only be used with expert help - they will know what they were going to suggest next - as you may still be infected.

It would be best to wait until the forum re-opens and continue there.
