Lost video display drivers upon reboot
I have a problem that I have never experienced before. Upon about every 3rd reboot I lose my video display drivers for my NVidia card and through device manager have to automatically reinstall the drivers. Periodically this does not work either and I have to execute the setup program, let it install and reboot. Once back in Windows, I have to go back and set up the display (multi-monitor). I've run check-disk, virus/spyware scans, diagnostic scans using multiple utilities; all to no avail. Standard XP SP3 build. I am not interested in rebuilding the system at this time but would really prefer to get to the root of the problem. I have un-installed the previous drivers, over-written the drivers, everything I can think of and I am getting rather tired of this. It's a newer AMD 64bit Quad core (32 bit OS) that I built about 4 months ago.
Does anyone have any idea what I could try next or has anyone experienced this issue? While I have experienced many issues in the years in this field, this one is new to me.

You said "about every 3rd reboot". Did you try removing the video card and plugging it back in?

Yes. Done that a couple of times. I have also just reinstalled the motherboard drivers which appeared to update .net 2.0. If I don't get this figured out, in a month or so it'll be time just to do a reinstall. Thanks for the reply.

Just to clarify, what I meant by "about every 3rd reboot", I mean that about on-average every 3rd time I start the system back up after it's been shut-off for the night, the problem occurs.

What is the model name for the NVidea card? How many video cards are in your computer and are they different or the same model name video cards? I hope the video card is not broken.

It's an NVidia 9800 GT dual-headed card. I don't believe the graphics card to be an issue. It's just something qwerky with the computer. Booted up fine today.

None whatsoever. Planning on doing an OS dump sometime in the near-future.
