Loading screen... But no load... Help!
Hello.

Laptop is Fujitsu Siemens Li2727.
Not entirely sure whats been done but basically Iv been asked to put a new HD in and install XP.
So... Cant disable SATA in BIOS so I intergrated SATA driver to XP installation using nLite.
Installation went smooth with no problems. Laptop restarted.
Win XP loading screen... Still loading... Still loading... Still loading...
Not frozen. The loading bar continues to move, but gets no further...

Safe mode? No. Freezes up.
USB device attached? No.

Iv entered recovery console and tried "fixboot" and "fixMBR" but still the same.

My first thought was maybe the SATA driver is not properly installed.
But surely it wouldnt read the drive at all right?

Please help! Its a real head scratcher!

Klaus

That laptop came with Vista installed so the chipset drivers and the other drivers ie; Graphics, soundcard etc all need to be the XP drivers for what you are doing.
Windows will install, but it will never actually load.

Thank you for your response.

Seems so simple when someone else says it!

So if I intergrate all those drivers into the installation disk it should work?

Yes, providing there are no other issues it will then work.

Try Enable Boot logging and see where it stops.

Alternatively see this

Did this laptop work perfectly before you started with the sata HDD installation.
Is there any chance that a stick of ram is unseated. If I remember correctly on the Amilo you have to take the keyboard out to install ram, I think.
Have you had a look at that second link I sent amilo forum.
I would slipstream SP3 to the CD using nlite and start again.

I spoke to the owner. When it had Vista installed on he said it would be working fine for 5 minutes and then would just "blue screen" he's not very technical minded so I cant really get much more info from him than that! He tried to format and fix it himself (god knows what he did) but couldnt so gave it to me.
I have just tried a bootable Linux distribution called Slax. All seemed to be loading then the screen just went blank.

Power supply, battery (disconnect and run on power) then charge and run on battery only.
Graphics, or screen inverter, connect separate monitor., ram or the actual motherboard.
Do you have the old HDD if so what happens when it is booted on that one and when it then blue screens can we get a STOP code.

http://www.aitechsolutions.net/mupdotsysXPhang.htmlUsually not the acual fault, see the link, I would check your SATA drivers
If MiniXP is Hirens, discussion of that is not allowed on this forum.
The CD contains unlicensed software and as such is forbidden on this forum.
