new DVD CD drive is not detected
Hi,
I have a 2003 vintage Dell desktop 4554 XP and it has a DVD drive and a CD drive. The CD rom, not music, stopped working. I"ve just replace the CD drive with a DVD,CD drive gotten from a knowledgeable store assosiate and it fit and lights up and it opens and closes and spins but it does not play and there is no CD drive showing on MY COMPUTER. Any suggestions?

Check to see if you have the jumper right.
