I am an intermediate-advanced computer user. Google Chrome was working fine until recently. When I tried to open it, I got the window 'Woah! Google Chrome has crashed. Restart?" every time when I clicked on it. Restarting the computer did nothing. Reinstalling Chrome did nothing. Uninstalling with Revo, and reinstalling did nothing. When Chrome is reinstalled it gives a promising few seconds of time before crashing but that was the only progress I saw. What else do you advise?
I have backed up all User Data and Local Settings so I don't risk losing my extensions, settings and greasemonkey scripts. All extensions etc were removed by the uninstall. I have kept backups in a different folder (the desktop) but the reinstall removed the originals from the App Data folder.
I am not going to move user account or take as drastic measures as reinstalling the OS. I am sure this can be sorted out. Perhaps I am running messed up software / malware is installed but no peculiar tasks are running. Messed up software is unlikely as I tried whilst running the minimum amount of programs and the same thing happened. Actually, that's when it started.

How did you do that?

Did you disable some add-ons?

Did you uninstall some add-ons?

Did you uninstall other programs on the computer ("Add or remove programs"...)?

I was trying to sort out an irrelevant issue and temporarily disabled most of my startup programs. That's when I noticed this issue (however, its very possible it had been screwed up before that). I disbaled/uninstalled nothing; although, I made a new account and copied over my app data folder.
(Basically I was going to move my account to sort out an issue but then realised that unrelated issue was the result of a messed up program; I disabled the startup programs to suss out which program was messed up)

Try it after booting into Safe Mode with Networking? Any difference?

No. Exactly the same issue

BTW, I am currently using Firefox and there are no other issues with my computer

Is Chrome crashing on any particular website? Is it always on websites with Flash content (ads, videos, music, tutorials...)?

Do you have the latest Adobe Flash Player for Non-IE?

Or perhaps this started happening after getting the latest version of the Flash player?

No, you don't understand. It crashes IMMEDIATELY. The window doesn't even open (occassionally you see it for about a millisecond). The dialogue box then pops up with the issue and tells me to restart the program but clicking 'OK' literally just makes the box pop up again.

perhaps it is java/flash related. Do you think that is possible considering how quickly the issue arises when I open Chrome?

It's hard to say.

Can you remember anything you might have installed or uninstalld prior to your problem?

Java is what I'm thinking about. Don't recall updating flash player

I will try uninstalling Java. Seems like a long shot though
