.....Is it true that if I exclude the "gobackio.bin" file from my defrag untility(in my case, Norton Antivirus), my GoBack history will not get wiped out or slow the defrag process down, etc.?

I found that "solution" on a website somewhere and was wondering if you could confirm that it worked(I'm not at that computer now to try it).
But in the meantime, I did email Roxio and they say that doing that would have no affect on the history file getting erased.
(seemed to good to be true)
sorry
Have you found a way to disable GoBack without making it automatically start the history erase process? When I do that it can take up to an hour and a half to finish erasing/disabling itself.
You'd think there would just be a quick way to do it!

I have also seen that Roxio said it is just something that happens.
I partitioned today and had to disable Go Back and lost the history and this is another time when history might be needed.
I am not smart enough to fix it. If we coiuld find where the history is stored maybe shifting it to a different folder with a new name might help. has any GoBack user tried that? | | Junior Member with 4 posts. | | Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: akron,ohio-usa Experience: Intermediate | | defrag problem I had this problem also, but I found that if I only defrag in normal mode, and defrag before the drive says to, that I do not lose my goback history, and we have 98Se and Xp home, and this solved the problem on them both.
Hope this helps.
