Solved: HP Wireless printer copies but won't print
Hi everyone,

I'm trying to help a friend with one of those infamous printer problems. She has an HP C4385 all-in-one photosmart wireless printer and a Dell Inspiron with Win XP. Couple weeks ago she had a paper jam, removed the paper, cleared the error and since then, it won't print. It copies fine, just no printing. I have rebooted the system, deleted and added the printer and nothing happens. She doesn't have the original driver disk. Can anyone offer me any suggestions?

has the paper been completely removed - check and see there is not a tiny bit still in the machine somewhere
when you say it copies fine - is this as a photocopier - scans and prints out the document OR just scan and copies to a file ?

the original driver are available from HP site here

does the printer show as offline / online / ready ?

Hi etaf -
There's no paper left in the machine at all - the jam has been completely removed. It's an all-in-one that scans, prints and makes copies just like a copy machine. It will make a hard copy of an original and the copy comes out as a printed reproduction ... it just won't print from the Internet. She is wanting to print her emails and can't.

Print network settings
You can print a network configuration page to see network settings such as the IP
address, communication mode, and network name (SSID).
1. Press the Wireless button on the front of the HP All-in-One.
2. Press the button next to the icon on the display until Print Network Configuration
Page is highlighted, and then press the button next to OK.
I want to see the IP details , SSID etc and make sure they are assigned

Sorry it took a while to get back to you. She ended up calling HP and they helped her, so all is well now. Thanks for your efforts, I appreciate it!
