I just wanted to comment that I would not have suggested the optimizer if I hadn't used it myself with no ill effect to my windows xp.
Elvandil has a right to his opinion and I have mine. I will not argue the point.
Was there any add-on or program that you had to install at the site?
If it was, see if you can uninstall it.
You might clear all cookies and temp internet files from your browser and system to
see if that helps.
If you go to this link:

When I bookmark the link and place it in bookmarks, I can open the radio link from the bookmarks list. If you open it in a separate tab, then you can go to other sites and still hear the station, as long as you don't close that tab. Maybe don't understand what you want.
When you checked the Power Management tab like Lance1 imaged, did you see any
warning icons in the Device Manager?
You can also check the event viewer for errors.
From Run> type: eventvwr.msc then hit OK.
Click on System in the left panel and look in the right pane for any error or...
Start> Run> type: devmgmt.msc then hit OK.
Double click on Network Adapters then double click on your network adapter.
Click on Power Management tab and see if the box is checked:
Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
If checked, un-check it and click OK...
In post #2 you listed your email address. You shouldn't do that on any forum or
publicly. Some could harvest your email address for spam. Just click the Edit button
