    MBAM sent me a .bat file with a 45-second delay in starting MBAM. After a couple of day's trial, and several startups without problem, this seems to have solved the problem.

    Hi Dai, It does seem to be an MBAM conflict - I uninstalled MBAM at your prompt (can't say why I'd not done it myself - d'oh! So obvious!!!) and, for the next couple of days, it started normally... I'm now dealing direct with MBAM Support re this...I will eventually show their resolution...
