    Excel 2007 Set Range Issue

Hmmm ... well, no, I don't have any idea why it's not working, other than just general buggery. I'd recommend writing a macro to perform the copy/rename procedure and keep it in your personal workbook, so you can run it on the other reports. ... Or better yet, just write the macro to run on...

    Excel 2007 Set Range Issue

I can run the below code just fine in 2007, so I don't think the problem is with those lines, exactly. It could be something else in the environment, or you might have a corrupted file. If it's at all practical, try manually copying everything out to a new workbook and see if the problem...

Solved: Setting up daily route with a lookup function

I don't know of any way to do this other than using some kind of macro. My understanding is that Microsoft took VBA (the macro language) out of Office for Mac 2008, but returned it in Office for Mac 2011, so, if you have Excel 2011, I think it should work. If you have 2008, no macros will work.

Solved: Setting up daily route with a lookup function

Okay, check this out: I attached a reworking of your file. On the ROUTES sheet, you will see a button that says "Get Routes". When you click that button, the Do_It() macro fires and COMPLETELY CLEARS the ROUTES sheet. Then it sorts your AM ROUTES PLANNING sheet, compiles the data and...

Solved: Setting up daily route with a lookup function

Ultimately, it'll be easier code if each person's "table" falls in either one vertical or one horizontal line, rather than 2 wide and stacked vertically, but, either way can be done. I can give you a basic sample of how it would work, but it'll take a little while.

    Problems Accessing Flash Drive

I know you said you tried a different flash drive in the same port, but did you try the questionable flash drive in another machine? Would help you determine if the problem is associated only with the drive or only with your machine.

    Problems Accessing Flash Drive

This is sort of a long shot, but I've gotten lucky in the past by changing the drive letter. You can do this through Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Disk Management (NOT DEVICE MANAGER). Your problem could actually be a drive letter conflict, as in your Flash drive is set to use a...

    Ruined UPC codes in Excel

You can e-mail me the file, if you want. Not sure if there is a way to do that directly from here, but my e-mail is my first name at my first and last name .com (see signature). I've never heard of this particular problem (and again, sorry for the misread of your original post; I hate it when...

Solved: Setting up daily route with a lookup function

Unfortunately, this is fairly complicated to do, given the layout of your sheets. A lookup formula won't work because it's just going to stop over and over again on the first instance of the person's name on the AM ROUNDS PLANNING sheet. What you really need is a macro that will find all the...

    2007 Excel doing strange things?

Sounds like just some bizarre glitch to me. I think you already found the solution: if it's remotely practical, I'd copy everything (worksheets, macros, etc.) out to a new workbook. You might have a corrupted file and manually moving everything will often fix the problem. If that's totally...

    Ruined UPC codes in Excel

Sorry, I have seen the leading zero problem come up countless times and people usually say that they've "tried every kind of formatting" and what they really mean is they've tried setting the formatting of the destination cell through the normal cell formatting menus, either before or after the...

    2007 Excel doing strange things?

If you can upload the sheet it would be much easier to troubleshoot the problem.
