My 80GB drive is showing as almost full, but I don't understand how. I can't see that what I have on it can be taking up that much space. I have tried moving a lot of stuff to secondary drives but this doesn't seem to make much difference.
I can't find a tool in Computer Management that will show me how the disc is occupied (in a pie chart or similar) except for the basic used / free space chart in My Computer.
Is there anything I can try to analyse the disc content?
(My OS is XP Pro)
Right, I've disposed of the Uninstall files.
The "Windows Installer Patch" is now registering 43.5GB, so that hasn't made a great difference.
Anything else I can do with this?
Can you give us details of that Windows Installer Patch -right click properties.
Has it been run?
Can you confirm the current Windows Version and level?
Have you tried to "upgrade" to a later Windows - perhaps that is what that patch is?
Windows is XPPro Version 2002 Service Pack 3. I don't recall trying to upgrade.
Here's an expanded view of the relevant part of the file; this list of .msp files goes on for ever.
I like plodr's idea of removing the whole damn thing, but would like a second opinion on this first.
