Hi !

Just upgraded from W7 to W10 the other day and it was quite painless.
Unfortunately, I discovered the first glitch... my CyberLink DVD Suite Deluxe
now does not see my CD burner. I'm sure this is simple, but I need a little
guidance on how to correct.

Thank you !

use the search feature to locate the Cyberlink folder and create a new shortcut. right click the exe and copy the shortcut and paste to the desktop.

mine (Cyberlink) came as a disc with the pc. if this was the same for you reinstall it again, using the disc.

also, there are other freebies available if an alternative is required

Thanks, but I don't think I explained my situation very well.
CyberLink Power2Go fires up fine, but as soon as I try to create
an audio CD, a dialog box pops up and states "No burner is currently
available or you don't have the rights to access the burner." Again,
I had been using this program for years without issue, so it sure
seems that the W10 upgrade fouled something. More thoughts?
CyberLink came preinstalled on this PC and I don't think I have
a separate disk for it to reinstall.

its been a common one recently. check if your CD drive is recognized by BIOS. If you can't find your disc drive under Device Configuration, than your problem is probably hardware-related. But if your drive is detected by BIOS than the problem is software-related. see the page for the

another method was to power down the machine and reach into the machine and unplug the cable to the CD/DVD rom. remove the battery, (if laptop) wait a few seconds, then reinsert the battery. after waiting at least 10 seconds, reconnect the cable and reconnect power to the computer.

reboot and wait for Windows to start. If any messages open stating that Windows is installing new hardware, wait for Windows to finish before checking to see if the CD/DVD drive is available.

First of all, post your exact specs; ie exact motherboard, exact cpu, exact pw supply, etc, etc, etc. Do not post "8gig of ram" Post the exact brand and series. If this is a big box system ie dell, hp, whatever, post the exact brand and model# If you have a service tag# post that as well.

Did you check for win10 support? Just because an upgrade is offered, you still need to check that ALL of your hardware is supported.
Do you see the optical drive in the bios?
