My computer recently gave me an unusual message. I was running Windows 10 and started my computer up and it said Windows is scanning disc for errors and making corrections. I let it do it's thing and afterwards it would not boot back up. I have a Windows 7 reinstall disc and reformatted my drive and reinstalled Windows 7 with a valid product key but it will not let me update. Any ideas?
Your computer may not have been tested for or support Windows 10.
How long has it been running Windows 10?
What's the brand name and model name and complete model number of your computer?
What Windows version did it come with and which is on its Certificate-Of-Authenticity sticker?
I also had that problem with my desktop. That means your computer is not compatible with Windows 10. You may need to roll back to the previous OS you had.
