I am moving from Vista to Windows 10. I have been doing voice recordings (sermons) for many years. I use an iRiver IFP 895 MP3 player/recorder with external lapel microphone with superb results, better than any other recorder I have tried. I use the iRiver Music Manager for transfer to my computer, and re-encoding. I use Goldwave for editing.
I have downloaded Music Manager from the net into my new Windows 10 computer, but it does not recognise my recorder. It seems that Windows 10 does not support the recorder. I confess I am behind the times with all this, but is there no way that I can persuade/ programme Windows 10 to recognise my recorder? Allan.

I think I understand what you mean. On the old machine the MP3 player never showed in the usual list of disccs under 'Computer'. However, when I had Music Manager open, and the player plugged into the USB, Music manager would show 'IFP' connected'. This does not happen with the Windows 10.
