Hi everyone, having problems downloading drivers from NVidia, seems to be compatibility issue with windows 10,
message reads: "unable to connect to NVidia" , have tried running with earlier versions of windows, windows 7 and 8 and restarting but no joy, NVidia GTX 970 graphics card,
does this mean buying new graphics card???
Thanks
Additionally updating drivers is not required, yes it can hep with some games or add new features but it doesn't make your graphics card not functional or anything that would warrant a replacement.
Hi Triple6, tried the website now the message is : "hardware incompatible with this version of windows"
running windows 10, plus having the same problem trying to register with GeForce, the message reads:
"something went wrong , try restarting Experience"
tried it but same result, what to do?
Go to Programs and Features in the Control Panel and uninstall all the NVidia/Geforce software, reboot, and reinstall. You probably broke it by trying to use Compatibility Mode for previous versions of Windows. There's nothing wrong with your hardware and it is compatible with Windows 10.
Triple6 bad news, still no joy same result:" unable to connect to NVidia" and everything went wrong, large font and would not recognise dual monitors had to use system restore
Then you haven't completely uninstalled the software. You may also have other issues with your system, still software not hardware, that needs to be addressed.
You can also choose to do a custom installation of the NVidia drivers and choose to not install the Geforce Experience/Updater and just install the drivers.

I agree with Rob.
Choose the "custom" install option, then select to install only the display driver, then choose to clean install it.
That will remove all the older driver clutter before installing the newer driver.
hi have installed the disc drivers but the display would not scale down to size the font was
as when you do new install the short cuts were huge and when trying to install
from the web-site the message was: "Something went wrong try restarting"
that's what i am stuck with, drivers download but will not finalise and that's when the message:
"Unable to connect to NVidia" appears, plus the taskbar displays the explanation mark ( ! )
with the GeForce logo
The driver disc may be outdated and not support Windows 10, best to download the latest driver when possible.
