My specs:-
Intel i3 2310M 2.10ghz
2GB DDR3 RAM
ATI Radeon HD 7400 series 1gb
And an Intel HD 3000 1gb
(Laptop)
The problem comes that my 2 gb ram is not sufficient for gaming (I know that rest are also not sufficient but they meet the minimum requirements of most the games)
I Think that i should buy a new RAM but I found on the internet that INCREASING RAM OVERHEATS THE PC :-(. My laptop is already overheating but i managed to degrade some of the performance and used a cooling pad too, its better now.
Please guys tell me what should i do?
Thanks in advace,
Dark Rider
According to that product number, your HP 431 Notebook PC laptop came with these specs: Intel Core i3-2310M 2.10 GHz processor (with Intel HD Graphics 3000 integrated graphics) Radeon HD 7450M 1 GB dedicated graphics
2 GB of DDR3 RAM
500 GB hard drive
HP 431 Notebook PC (support site)
It does support up to 8 GB of DDR3 RAM.
Since that laptop is running Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, it'll detect and make use of all of the 6 GB of RAM you put in it.
If that laptop has a single 2 GB module and you want to add a 4 GB module to it, make sure they're both the same speed and voltage.
Laptops tend to be more finicky than desktops, so I can't guarantee you that a mismatched set of 2 GB and 4 GB modules will work okay.
It's usually a good idea to install a matching set so there's no risk of incompatibility between modules.
