Guys, as of last night my the windows logo loads forever on start up, it always loads about 30 secs minimum. Opening and closing windows also fades away in slow motion. However, I have found that when I switched my theme from aero to windows 7 classic, the issue doesn't exist anymore, but start up windows logo still takes about 5 mins to appear.

May be that your system is nit strong enough to support aero.
What are your system spec's?

From https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...p/f731d7e2-8731-438a-a839-011597d8099a?auth=1

Below are the areo hardware requirements.
  • 1-gigahertz (GHz) 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 1 gigabyte (GB) of random access memory (RAM)
  • 128-megabyte (MB) graphics card
Aero also requires a DirectX 9 class graphics processor that supports a Windows Display Driver Model Driver, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, and 32 bits per pixel.

For best results, you might also want to follow these graphics processor recommendations:

  • 64 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution that is less than 1,310,720 pixels (for example, a 17-inch flat panel LCD monitor that has a 1280 × 1024 resolution)
  • 128 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution from 1,310,720 to 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 21.1-inch flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 1600 × 1200 resolution)
  • 256 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution greater than 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 30-inch wide-screen flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 2560 × 1600 resolution)

I have managed to resolve the aero issue, just my system takes longer than it use to when starting up. It looks as if it hangs on starting windows logo. It use to start up in like 30 secs to my login screen. Now it takes like more than 2 mins which is not normal, and very time consuming.

You appear to have a Lenovo(unknown model name and model number) laptop.
It has an Intel Core i3-380M 2.53 GHz dual core processor and integrated Intel HD graphics and 4 GB of RAM.
It's also running Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit - which is the most feature-rich and system-hungry consumer version of Windows 7 there is.
We don't know how well you maintain it or what's installed and running in it, so that may also be contributing to the slowness.
