I just know enough about pc's to screw them up but I did nothing to cause this.I can ping ip I thought was camera but search cannot find a camera on home network.I give up.I tried everything.Even tried a diff router and other ip camera.Same results.Maybe you can fig something else I did not try...
I assume you have a camera on the network which comes with some software to configure it. And this software cqn't see the camera yet, you believe that the IP address you can ping, is the correct one?
Did I get that right?
Have you disabled any/all firewalls and AV? If you "ping -a xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" where x is the suspected camera address does it return a name?
I used http://arllc.net/findipcam/ to find camera. And it showed possible location. It was not my camera but I could ping the location. All I need to do is get my camera ip.Search cannot locate it .Do you know how?
Which make/model camera do you have? That website wants Admin access to the router, whichI'm not about to give it.
You can download a utility that'll scan your network for IP and search for it that way. I use Angry-IP but there's many such utilities out there.
Is a cheap sricam sp013.I have a diff one coming. Will post if I have trouble with it.thx...
