get some bsods randomly since 1 month. also wen i try restart. the bsod says collecting information and will restart..but wen it goes to 100%, the pc stalls at bsod screen;so i have to manually power off pc

bsods are:
1.critical_process_died(most common)
2.kernel_security_check_failure(occasional)
3.system_thread_exception_not_handled(Netwbw02.sys) -- occasional

only bsod no. 1 occured in past few days after i tried below things, but its too short a time period to know if other bsods will reoccur since they are rare-ish

things i tried but didnt work:
clean registry with ccleaner
run malwarebytes
uninstall and reinstall display driver (did this to the nvidia one only...not the intel one)
avg didnt detect any viruses

however, sfc/scannow did reveal some issues, but dunno how to fix them.

my pc constantly runs at 86C on average in all 4 cores. is this too hot? (not overclocked;normally running one instance of each firefox ,vlc and antivirus of course; msi laptop with 12gb ram and twin turbo fans which work fine when switched on...still 86C even with these fans. dont know if any other internal fan is working or not. no dust. room temp. 23C max)

wifi connection extremely unstable

sorry maybe 2 issues here..the bsod plus temperature.

many thanks, all help is greatly appreciated!

Okay sounds good. The dumps pointed to the AVG drivers so I think that was the main issue.

hi, unfortunately the error message "host process for windows services has stopped working" appeared again yesterday. as soon as i clicked close, got BSOD again. if i recall right, this was in the middle of the night when laptop was still running (but lid closed, i thought it would go to sleep)...and it must have got quite hot too i think. wonder if the temperature had anything to do with it. cos i switch off twin turbo fans when going to bed.

the keylogger removed now through control panel

You can upload the minidump file again for a look but as you said it may have been related to getting to hot so it might be worth testing it again tonight to see if it continues.

Perform the following:
Download Autoruns to your Desktop
  1. Extract the Autoruns Zip file contents to a folder.
  2. Right-click the Autoruns.exe and Select Run As Administrator
  3. Make sure Hide Microsoft Entries is Checked Under the Options Menu
  4. After Scanning is Finished
  5. Go to File then Save
  6. Save AutoRuns.am file to your Desktop
  7. Compress to a .zip file
  8. Upload file to your next reply

    See Tutorial for more information

Okay please upload the minidump files.

1. Click on Start menu
2. Type in command
3. Right click on Command Prompt in list and select Run as Administrator
4. Copy and Paste the command into the command console
copy %SystemRoot%\minidump\*.dmp "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\"
5. This will copy all of the minidump files (.dmp) to your desktop
6. Compress all the files to diag.zip
7. Upload the file diag.zip to your reply

OK sorry for the delay I will look at it today or tomorrow

Unfortunately your dump files have very little information in them this time. See the following article to help determine what process might be causing the issue when it happens again.

Event Logs
  1. Click on Start menu
  2. Type in command

lavasoft.wcassistant.winservice - this seems to be the cause of the IO System exception. Do you have some software by lavasoft installed? Remove with RevoUninstaller free and test.

#46 ·
Did you already try to remove it and these are leftovers? A couple options.

1. Reinstall the program and then it should be able to be removed with Revo Uninstaller or through control panel

2. We can use autoruns to remove all the entries.

That is good to hear. I do not see any services now with the Lavasoft now. Did you remove it somehow?

#53 ·
You’re welcome. Great to hear. Hopefully it is resolved now.
