I’m running windows 10 and whenever I try to plug in my Ethernet cord it says connected but no access. Steam still signs me in sometimes and my computer says that the Ethernet is working properly. The thernet cord also works on other computers so it isn’t the physical cord. My WiFi adapter stopped working also, doesn’t even show up on device manager.ive tried all the CMD prompts and troubleshooting. It won’t let me connect to the internet.
My WiFi was working just fine an hour ago or so then I accidentally unscrewed an antenna barely and re screwed it back in and it stopped working, I haven't used Ethernet for a while because this problem has been going on forever. I have internet and there is even another computer connected to internet through Ethernet.
Sounds like something came loose or has somehow lost contact when you unscrewed the antenna. You might try removing and inserting the antenna a few times in an attempt to clean the contact(s). If that doesn't work, you might consider picking up a little USB-WiFi adapter. They usually run $10-$15, including shipping. With the Ethernet cord plugged in, in Command Prompt type IPCONFIG /ALL and post the result here.
