It sounds like the hard-drive of this computer is working non-stop, sounds like it's way to busy for what I'm doing.
Below is a link to screen-shots of all the processes and services --way too many I think. Was wondering if someone could take a look and see if it's all legit. Thanks.

Graphics Card: Intel(R) HD Graphics, 1723 Mb
Hard Drives: C: 217 GB (22 GB Free);
Motherboard: Hewlett-Packard, 304Ah

A hard drive needs 15% - 20% free. Yours has a shade above 10%. You need to move files off, delete what you aren't using so the hard drive has breathing room.
Your imgur is too hard to read.
Why bother posting all the items that are stopped? No one wants to spend the time wading through all of that.
It's not just the hdd space, but the immense amount of processes and services you have running.83 processes is quite high.Alot of uneeded programs running in the background and at startup.
Your physical memory is also extremely high which just factors in to whats running in the background.
With that said, this is why your hdd is running constantly.
Clean up your hdd (uninstall any programs you dont use, delete or transfer pictures/videos), disable all unnecessary programs at startup through the msconfig utility.
After that,defrag your hdd.
There seems to be quite a few services also that can be set to manual, however we can get to that after you have completed the tasks i have mentioned above. Please post back with your results.
Any suggestions? I ran anti-virus Avast, Malwarebytes, all good. I'm thinking perhaps the HD is dying? Is there any way to test for that? The Bios version date in System Information is 2010.
Your hdd is NOT dying. As i said before, too many processes running in the background will cause the issues your having.Your using 64% of your physical memory.(Thats alot!) 38 gigs of free space will not make your hdd run constantly. In fact,it has NOTHING to do with it. You have 80 something processes running. At the moment i haven't got the time to go through them with you as i have to return to work. However,Im sure with all the tech's in here they should be able to help you out with that.
I dont get another day off till tuesday. If your issue is not resolved by then,i would be more then happy to go through all the services/programs that can be safeley disabled or set to manual.
It is going to take me quite some time to view the 2nd and 3rd images. After I increase the size, I still need to increase it further to see the services. I tried to do a screen print but the size went back to the original unmagnified size.
Try to stop and set the service Windows Search to manual or disabled. Just to see if the disk utilization drops.
Run "Services.msc" from either a Command prompt or in the Windows search window. Also make sure "Disk Defragmenter" service is set to manual (it probably is)
Lastly, you can download a Disk Test utility from Seagate. It's called Seatools and can be found HERE
