Perhaps these are severe issues

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that was equipped with windows 8.1. When windows 10 was offered, I upgraded. Recently, it got stuck in Automatic Repair Mode. I looked online for answers and saw many. Eventually, through prompt, I disabled Automatic Repair Mode. Now, it will not boot at all to desktop at all and won't do anything for that matter. I attempted to set up HDD Recovery when booting and this didn't appear to work either. Do I need to purchase a Windows 10 disc to essentially re-install windows 10?

Hopefully all of your data was backed up.

Download a copy of Windows 10 to a flash drive or make a DVD using this tool:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

Install Windows 10. During the install:
1. When it asks for a key, choose the option of skipping the key.
2. When you get to an option for upgrade or custom, select custom.
3. On the next screen delete all partitions and click next.

(Screen should look something like this)

Let Windows 10 install. This will get you a clean install of Windows 10. If it was activated prior to having issues, it should activate without any problems. I would do this after I get the PC setup back to normal. You have 30 days to activate after a new install.
